Year 10 and 11 GCSE Drama students attended a Careers in Action tour at the National Theatre on London’s Southbank on Saturday 7th March. 
 
During the visit, they learned about the theatre’s three performance spaces, the Olivier, Lyttelton, and Dorfman theatres. They were also lucky enough to see a professional technical rehearsal taking place in the Olivier Theatre. 
 
The group gained an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the carpentry workshop and prop-making area, discovering how sets and stage elements are created for professional productions. 
 
It was an inspiring experience for our GCSE Drama designers, helping them imagine themselves working in these exciting creative spaces in the future.
