GIANT DOLLS’ HOUSE PROJECT

Dolls’ House Exhibition

PP40b

At St Augustine’s Priory we have been involved in one of the most exciting Art projects ever!  Our girls have been making dolls’ houses out of shoeboxes and they will be exhibited at The Big Draw event tomorrow, Saturday 18th October (organised by Artescape).  The exhibition is at @testbed1  which is at 33 Parkgate Road, London SW11 4NP, very near to Battersea Park.

If you love dolls’ houses, you will love this!

As the venue says:

‘The doll’s house is a fantastic medium to explore domestic space for children and adults alike, and placing them into one large installation on the wall and connecting them with ropes, ramps, and ladders, will add an extra dimension. The project highlights the importance of a home for all and therefore each participant will be asked for a contribution of £1.00 for the housing charity Shelter.

The children can visit TESTBED1 on Saturday 18th October, from 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon and 2.00 – 4.00 p.m. to see their work displayed and to participate in the Artescape – Big Draw workshop.’

The pictures show some of the incredible dolls’ house boxes made by our pupils.
